Big Smiles!

I just had to post this crazy smile...Gigi took this photo, she must be pretty funny!

New Cousin!

My cousin Jason (who I grew up with and is more like a brother) and his wife Carrie had a little girl, Allison Louise, on April 18. George got to meet her yesterday. I can't believe George was that little 3 months ago! She is absolutely precious and it's going to be fun watching these two grow up together.

Happy 30th Brian!

We celebrated Brian's 30th birthday last night. It was pretty low key, but George and I gave him a camcorder and George even let us eat dinner together (by this I mean at the same time, ususally we have to take turns). George showed off for Daddy by hanging out in his new high chair (such a big boy!). He still looks pretty tiny sitting in it, but seems to enjoy being upright and having more visibility.

Snow in April?

What is up with the weather? On Friday afternoon, we got about 4-5 inches of snow here in Edmonds...and it stuck! I couldn't resist, I put George in his snowsuit and took him outside. He wasn't too impressed with the snow but really liked chewing on his snowsuit. On that same day (April 18), my cousin Jason and his wife Carrie welcomed their first child, a little girl, Allison Louise Lee. How many kids get to say it snowed on their birthday - in April?! We can't wait for George to meet little Allison!

Daddy Daycare, New Toys & a Soul Patch?

I've been back to work for four days now. It's nice to see everyone in the office, but I sure do miss my little dude! Brian was with him all day Monday and half a day Tuesday. While I was at work, the boys went on a walk, had a bath and tried out George's Bumbo seat. Gigi (Grandma Barb) came down Tuesday and we tried out George's Johnny Jump-Up. He's not quite sure what to make of it just yet, but I'm sure he'll love it once he figures it out! Last night I was cleaning out my purse and found the giveaway from the M's game we went to over the weekend - a J.J. Putz stick-on soul patch. So of course we had to put it on George. He kind of looks like his Uncle Ryan with the little red goatee!

Go M's!

This weekend, our friends Angie and Tom visited from Spokane and we went to a Mariners game - and George got to stay with a sitter for the first time. Gigi came down from Bellingham and stayed with George for the 6 hours we were gone. I guess its a good warm up for when I return to work tomorrow - gulp! The poor little guy is also suffering through his first cold. I'm becoming proficient with the snot sucker (the bulb syringe) and he's starting to sound better, though things were rough for a few days. The worst part is he got it from me - talk about Mommy guilt!

Tick Tock

I can't believe my maternity leave ends on Monday. George's first 12 weeks have absolutely flown by. Luckily, I will be telecommuting two days per week and my mom (Gigi) and Brian will cover the rest of the days, so no daycare yet.
This week, I'm savoring my last few days as a full-time stay-at-home mommy, while frantically trying to get as organized as possible to make the transition back into work a little more seamless - if that's possible! George is spending more time awake and has decided he needs to either be held or entertained. We're also trying tummy time - see photo - which is so far is not a favorite. He'll stand it for about 10 minutes. He's still not a fan of napping either. These last few weeks, his hands have spent a lot of time in his mouth and he's just about giggling.

Rub-a-dub-dub!

George loves bathtime! Here he is in his cool alligator robe, in the bathtub (I've cropped the photo to keep it G rated!), and with apres-bath crazy hair.
