Whoa!

George weighed in at 11 lbs 5 oz today and is 23 1/2 inches long...no wonder he's growing out of his clothes!

Male Bonding

George has been a bit fussy the last few days - gassy tummy, we suspect - and the only way we could get him to calm down was to lay on Daddy's chest. The resulting picture is pretty precious (poor Brian looks a bit tired)! Another thing that's calming him down is his swing. He's finally heavy enough to use it - it swings pretty fast and we were worried when we tried it a few weeks ago it was going to throw him across the room. Now he's just the right size and loves it. It has little bugs that move that he loves to gaze up at and a running water sound that seems to soothe him.
George has his well baby appointment tomorrow, we're excited to see how much he's grown. He's almost too long for quite a few of his three month outfits. Well, at least the ones with feet. He is long and lean like his Daddy.

Go Hawks!

We're getting him ready for next season already! George was four weeks old yesterday, time is just flying by. He has grown out of all of his newborn clothes. We don't have an official weight but we're guessing he's definitely over 10 pounds by now.
George had his first big outing last Sunday, up to Papa and Gigi's in Bellingham. He got to meet his Great Grandma Kadee and was his usual mellow self. He also got to go on his first walk to the park on Monday and he loves to ride/sleep in his Baby Bjorn.

The Child of a Thousand Faces

Well, maybe not a thousand...but his repetoire is expanding. Above, we have a sampling - including our favorite, which we call the pirate face - arrgggh! This is how he tells us he's ready to eat.
George continues to change every day. He's now pretty much able to hold his head up on his own, is tracking our voices around the house and is definitely more alert. He's enjoying bathtime too - though the first bath was a bit scary for him (Mommy was nervous too!).
He's still getting lots of visitors - he met his Great Grandma Ruby and Great Aunts Elayne and Diane for the first time last weekend. He was on his best behavior, as usual. We can't complain - so far, he has a very even and mellow temperament...knock wood!

Two Weeks

This week was Brian's first week back at work and Mommy and George had a fairly eventful week - Grandma Karen visited on Monday and later that day, Mommy and George had their first solo outing to Costco and the grocery store. George slept the entire time. Then, on Wednesday, we went down and visited Daddy at work. George slept the entire time. I'm sensing a pattern...

Family Time

George has been very alert and observant lately. It's so fun watching him take it all in! Yesterday, George met his cousin Kaylei for the first time. Looks like we'll have a great babysitter in a few years!
